The test stand has five flow meters plumbed in series. All of the flow meters share the same load control valve. The flow meters are selected through the use of ball valves. The three smallest flow meters have quick couplers plumbed in between the ball valve and flow meter so you can check case drain while the main flow is being checked. There are extra returns to tank so that multiple stage pumps may be run if required. The stand is equipped with open and closed loop circuits. Closed loop motors, such as hydrostat motor, are tested (as if they were a pump) by flowing oil through a rectifier circuit and loading the outlet side.

Test stand capability through load control circuit is based on 100-hp electric motor and 90% pump efficiency.
